6 Week Sono

So we had our 6 week sonogram on Tuesday... lots of information to process. First off... there are 2 sacs. Which is bittersweet, one is smaller (baby B) than the other. The biggest one (baby A) measured 5 weeks 6 days which is great, its right where we should be. Baby B was quite a bit smaller and Dr B didn't seem very optimistic about it. She said with Baby A there was a fetal pole  and a heart beat, although it was slow, so all of that was good news. We will repeat the sono next Tuesday, hopefully we will see a strong heart beat and know what to expect with baby B.

I got the feeling she was a little disappointed mostly with the news that I was only 6 weeks, in her mind for some reason she thought I was 6 weeks 4 days. Which ironically 4 days is significant. I read on the What to Expect When you are Expecting website that at 6 weeks the baby has grown 10,000 times what it was at conception. Incredible!

Deuteronomy 28:4
The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock--the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

PSALM 127:3-5

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is His reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.
